This is the itinerary for anyone who wants the classic wildlife circuit without giving up a beach holiday to get it. Over eight days you will move through four of Kenya's best-known parks - the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, and both sides of Tsavo - and instead of driving back to Nairobi at the end, you finish by heading straight to the coast, with drop-offs available at Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi. It is a genuinely well-paced trip: enough time in each park to actually settle in rather than just passing through, and a built-in reward at the end rather than a flight home the moment the last game drive wraps up.
This is a private departure, so your vehicle, driver guide, and schedule are exclusive to your group throughout. It works particularly well for travelers who have one real trip to Kenya in them and want both the bush and the coast covered properly, rather than choosing one over the other.
You will be collected from your Nairobi hotel or the airport in the morning and driven to the Masai Mara through the Great Rift Valley and Narok town, arriving in time for lunch at camp. The afternoon game drive covers ground in search of lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and the rest of the Big Five, along with the wider plains game the Mara is known for. Dinner and overnight at Enchoro Wildlife Camp.
An early game drive before breakfast, then a full day exploring the reserve with a packed lunch, tracking predators and their usual prey - zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and hippo - with a stop at the Mara River, where crocodile sightings are common. Dinner and overnight again at Enchoro Wildlife Camp.
After breakfast, you will leave the Mara for Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch and a short rest before an afternoon game drive. Nakuru is known for its flamingo-lined shores and healthy populations of both black and white rhino. Dinner and overnight at Buraha Zenoni Hotel, Nakuru.
An early breakfast and a short game drive on the way out of Nakuru, then the drive to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch at camp. The afternoon game drive takes you across plains set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli's signature view. Dinner and overnight at Manjaro Tented Camp.
An early start gives you the best chance of an unobstructed view of Kilimanjaro before cloud builds up over the peak, followed by an extended game drive across the park's swamps and open plains, where wildebeest, giraffe, and baboon are common sightings alongside Amboseli's well-known elephant herds. An optional visit to a Maasai village is available after breakfast, for anyone interested in the culture behind the region rather than just its wildlife. Dinner and overnight again at Manjaro Tented Camp.
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, you will head to Tsavo West, with wildlife viewing along the route. The afternoon includes a visit to the rhino sanctuary before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Ngulia Safari Lodge.
After breakfast, you will stop at Mzima Springs, where hippos and fish are visible through unusually clear water, before continuing to Tsavo East - known for its large elephant herds and the historical notoriety of its man-eating lions. An afternoon game drive follows, with dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge.
One last game drive on your way out of Tsavo East, before heading to the coast. Depending on your onward plans, you will be dropped at Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi, arriving around lunchtime, either at your beach hotel or the airport.

June to October is the strongest window for the wildlife portion of this trip, covering the dry season across all four parks. Since the itinerary ends at the coast, this timing also lines up well with the drier, sunnier stretch of the Kenyan coast's calendar, making the transition from safari to beach a smooth one rather than trading dry plains for a rainy coastline.
This itinerary ends on the coast rather than back in Nairobi - let us know your preferred drop-off point (Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi) when booking.
Beach accommodation is not included in the safari price, but we can arrange it as an add-on for a seamless safari-to-beach handover.
Groups of 3 or more should confirm final per-person pricing with us directly before payment, since rates scale with group size.
Yes. Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, and Malindi are all reachable from Tsavo East within a similar drive time, so you can pick whichever fits your onward plans or beach preference.
